Now that the greatest cup in Europe is back in action; in this next post we will talk about the Champions League fixtures!
Last week, Bayern Munich thumped Chelsea 3-0 with Serge Gnarby (2 goals) once again proving that London is indeed RED. Afterwards, Barcelona and Napoli played a rather boring game which consisted of two absolutely brilliant goals; the result ending 1-1. Antoine Griezman put the ball into an open net after some nice passing play from the Spanish side. Insigne netted an absolute beauty of a solo effort. The two following games were not disappointing. Firstly, Manchester City proved their worthiness of playing at the highest level by defeating the notorious champions Real Madrid. This game had everything from exciting plays to high passion collisions between players. On the other hand, Olympique de Lyon pulled the upset and beat Cristiano’s side Juventus. These were all very thrilling outcomes to the Champions League knock-out stages. We wait in giddy anticipation to watch the second leg of these games next week.
