The Corona Virus has proven itself to be quite a worry throughout the world. People are having trouble returning back to their homes or visiting their families because of this plague. Now, it is affecting the football world. Players a huge concern in this predicament because of their tedious schedules and long list of travel destinations. It has gotten so bad that European Football is being played behind closed doors until further notice. This multi-billion dollar industry is being shut down due to this virus. Teams are playing each other in empty stadiums that would normally be filled with anywhere from 40-100,000 people. We are left thinking where will this virus end. It has gotten to the point where the English FA (Football Administration) has banned pre-match shaking of hands between players; which, in retrospect, seems a bit pointless for a contact sport.

Now that the greatest cup in Europe is back in action; in this next post we will talk about the Champions League fixtures!
Last week, Bayern Munich thumped Chelsea 3-0 with Serge Gnarby (2 goals) once again proving that London is indeed RED. Afterwards, Barcelona and Napoli played a rather boring game which consisted of two absolutely brilliant goals; the result ending 1-1. Antoine Griezman put the ball into an open net after some nice passing play from the Spanish side. Insigne netted an absolute beauty of a solo effort. The two following games were not disappointing. Firstly, Manchester City proved their worthiness of playing at the highest level by defeating the notorious champions Real Madrid. This game had everything from exciting plays to high passion collisions between players. On the other hand, Olympique de Lyon pulled the upset and beat Cristiano’s side Juventus. These were all very thrilling outcomes to the Champions League knock-out stages. We wait in giddy anticipation to watch the second leg of these games next week.

There is no other subject to talk about when you mention top flight football for this past month. Erling Haaland, having made his move to Borussia Dortmund in late December, has been absolutely baggin’ goals. In his first seven games with the top German side, this 19 year old has already scored eleven (yes ELEVEN) goals. At just the age of 19 he has become the fastest player to reach 10 champions league goals, taking him only seven games. This lad is something serious. He recently said that Cristiano Ronaldo is the reason he plays football and he credits his top form to the the Portuguese legend’s influence on him. He has been following the “CR7” diet and keeping his body in top shape, just like ol’ Cristiano. Its no secret that this kid is a serious threat to any team he plays against, but you can’t help but think “can he keep this form?”. It is a lot of pressure to come out and score every game but he has had absolutely no problem doing so.
Well, its time to kick off my new blog. In this segment we will be talking about Footballs latest transfers!
First we have the arrival of Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes at Manchester United. Fernandes is a talented midfielder with good pace and an incredible shot. This is a prime recruit for the currently slow Manchester United.
Next we have potential rumors about Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid. These are more than speculations, however. His mother went to the press and said that she would love for him to play there and that it has always been a dream of his to play with the all whites! Mbappe is an extremely skilled player, projected to be a future balon d’or winner. He’s come off an amazing season and just having won the World Cup with France, he is absolutely in his form.
Lastly we will speak on Erling Haaland to Borussia Dortmund. At the young age of 19, Haaland has taken Europe by a storm. Scoring a hattrick on his Champions League debut, this young striker is a force to be reckoned with. Going from Salzburg to Dortmund, in just 4 games with the club he has already scored an insane 8 goals. Everyone is surely keeping an eye out for him.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
